Molyphide 20 is one of the most cost effective extreme pressure lubricants available to engineer.
Molyphide 20 provides reinforcement for straight and EP mineral lubricating oils and metal forming lubricants. The fully colloidal and stabilized dispersions are designed not to sediment when added to base stocks and the superfine Molybdenum Disulphide will not block the oil filters of internal combustion engines.
Molyphide 20 can reduce wear, improve efficiency and quieted internal combustion engines. It can be used in plain and roller bearings and slideways where stick slip is a problem. MOLYPHIDE 20 can be used on high performance gear boxes,e.g. conveyor drives, automatic transmissions and machine tools drives. It is also very effective in reducing running temperatures of worm, bevel and hypoid gear trains.
For normal duty where a general improvement in performance is desired a concentration of 1% Molybdenum Disulphide is required. This means that every liter of Molyphide 20 requires diluting with 20 liters of oil to give a 1% concentration of Molybdenum Disulphide. The use of less concentrated dispersion is possible and some experimentation may be necessary to determine the most cost effective combination.
Molyphide 20 can be used undiluted and can be brush, spray or dip applied to components prior to assembly. It is not necessary to pre-mix the Molyphide 20; the churning which takes place within the machinery is all that is necessary.
